This month marks my seventieth published novel. I’ve written a lot of books. A lot of many different kinds of stories. From sweet to hard hitting. Suspenseful. Straight romance. And romantic suspense. There are clean stories. And ones filled with the grittier side of life. But all of them, without fail, have the ttq signature.
They are compelling looks at real life in a larger than life form. They walk with you every step of the journey and feel with you every beat of the heart. Seriously. My books, no matter what I set out to write, turn into psychological looks at the heart and soul of living. They take you through things you might recognize and dare to get to the heart of it all.
And they always, without fail, show you how to get out of it all, to find that light at the end of the tunnel. They are stories that celebrate the existence of hope. That prove that if you give it all you’ve got, you’ll have done enough. And that you are never, ever, completely alone.
The Friendship Pact and Once Upon A Friendship are two completely different kinds of stories. Once Upon A Friendship is a clean romance. No graphic sex. Very few swear words. Not a lot of drinking. And yet…there’s crime. Danger. Infidelity. And a road to happiness. The Friendship Pact is grittier, admits to imperfections almost from page one. Takes you through the feelings as a fifteen year old girl describes to her best friend the way her step father molested her. And yet it’s one of the sweetest stories I’ve ever written.
Both books celebrate friendship. Both come straight from my heart and soul to yours. I can promise you that, if you read them, you’ll take an emotional journey. You’ll be made to question a thing or two that matters to you. And you’ll find something to take with you, too.
