New Jersey Hurricanes striker Logan Hart lives for the grind of training, the adrenaline of competition, and all the perks of the road—until his ex hands him a baby and tells Logan to raise her on his own. He’s eager to pass this bundle of joy into more capable hands and get back to his hard-playing, hard-partying ways. But when a beautiful, blond drill sergeant of a nanny turns Logan’s life upside down, he sets a new goal: winning her heart. Isabella Bennett takes pride in teaching the rich and famous how to become loving families. Her no-nonsense style is just what Logan and his crying, copper-haired cutie need. So why can’t she get the image of Logan’s tanned, muscular body out of her head? Isabella’s here to whip a new father into shape, not fall for a sexy ladies’ man. But their chemistry is too tantalizing to ignore, much like the temptation to trust someone with her deepest secrets—and embrace a loving family all her own.
Katie Rose surprised me with this great spin on love and romance. When Logan Hart’s one-night stand shows up with baby in tow and leaves him in a hurry, life as he knows it is over. Logan contacts a nanny agency who sends over their best and brightest – Isabella Bennett. Isabella prides herself on being professional, efficient and caring to the families she serves and never crosses the line …. Until she cannot fight the attraction that is brewing between Logan and Isabella.
Katie Rose does a fabulous job of creating chemistry and a connection between Logan and Isabella. The instant friction between the two sets the stage for a heated romance that is somewhat forbidden – employee and employer. The banter between the two is comedic and will have you smiling. I loved the way the two slowly fell for each other, both caring Cinnamon, which made them closer.
If you are looking for a light, fun romance, then Hard to Hold is the book for you. The characters are fairly developed, the writing is good, and the plotline is well thought out. If you are fan of contemporary romance, then this is right up your alley. Make sure you add it to your To-Be-Read Shelf.
